Pada hari Rabu, 27 September 2023, Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Kemenparekraf) mengadakan kunjungan ke Universitas Ahmad Dahlan dalam rangka menjaga dan meningkatkan mutu/kualitas dari jurnal JKI. Acara tersebut dibuka oleh MC ibu Yosi Wulandari M. Pd., dengan memperkenalkan tim MAJU UAD serta menyampaikan maksud dan tujuan kunjungan dari KEMENPAREKRAF.
Pada sesi pertama, Pak Much. Fuad Saifuddin S.Pd., M.Pd memberikan penjelasan mendalam tentang proses bagaimana jurnal yang dikelola oleh tim MAJU UAD berhasil mencapai indeksasi Scopus. Beliau juga menyoroti peran Tim MAJU dalam mengontrol jurnal-jurnal di lingkungan UAD dan berbagi informasi seputar upaya yang telah mereka lakukan untuk memajukan jurnal-jurnal yang ada di lingkungan UAD.
Sesi selanjutnya dibawakan oleh perwakilan dari jurnal Novelty, yang memiliki berbagi pengalaman unik tentang perjalanan jurnal mereka hingga akhirnya berhasil terindeks di Scopus. Mereka telah menghadapi tantangan besar, termasuk mengirimkan artikel mereka hingga tiga kali untuk revisi dan menyeleksi artikel sesuai dengan ruang lingkup jurnal mereka.
Saat sesi tanya jawab, KEMENPAREKRAF mengajukan beberapa pertanyaan penting, termasuk mengenai sistem pengelolaan Portal MAJU serta upaya pendampingan dalam pengelolaan jurnal. Mereka juga menyoroti kebijakan merekrut reviewer yang meminta pengirim CV sebagai syarat.
Kunjungan ini berhasil menciptakan dialog yang berharga antara KEMENPAREKRAF dan Bidang Publikasi Ilmiah LPPM UAD dalam upaya bersama untuk meningkatkan kualitas jurnal-jurnal di bidang pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif.
BENCHMARKING VISIT BY KEMENPAREKRAF
On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Kemenparekraf) conducted a visit to Ahmad Dahlan University with the aim of maintaining and improving the quality of JKI journals. The event was opened by MC Mrs. Yosi Wulandari M. Pd., who introduced the UAD MAJU team and conveyed the purpose and objectives of the visit on behalf of Kemenparekraf.
In the first session, Mr. Much. Fuad Saifuddin S.Pd., M.Pd provided a comprehensive explanation of the process through which journals managed by the UAD MAJU team successfully achieved Scopus indexing. He also highlighted the role of the MAJU team in controlling journals within the UAD environment and shared information about their efforts to advance the existing journals.
The next session was presented by representatives from the Novelty journal, who shared a unique experience of their journey to finally achieving Scopus indexing. They faced significant challenges, including the need to submit their articles for revision up to three times and carefully selecting articles in accordance with the journal’s scope.
During the Q&A session, Kemenparekraf raised several important questions, including inquiries about the management system of the MAJU Portal and the support efforts for journal management. They also emphasized the policy of recruiting reviewers that required the submission of CVs as a requirement.
This visit successfully fostered valuable dialogue between Kemenparekraf and the UAD LPPM Scientific Publication Department in their joint efforts to enhance the quality of journals in the field of tourism and creative economy.
